The chair team under the chairmanship of Professor Tariq Madani introduced a workshop of which gave a fully introductory presentation about the chair’s funding, objectives, research plans, cooperation with authorities within and outside the kingdom. Furthermore, Professor Kaisk, a Chair Counsel Visitor and former president of Infectious Disease Control (CDC) at U.S.A, presented an integrated lecture about Alkhumra Virus and other Viral Haemorrhagic Fevers, historic collaboration with the Kingdom in different areas, and expressed his willingness for fully cooperation with the Chair.
Professor Tareq Madani and Dr. Essam Azhar had also presented an introductory lecture about the chair’s objectives, vision and mission. Furthermore Professor Tareq had presented some of the results founded by the chair’s research team. |

Awareness workshop was held for specialist doctors in internal medicine and pediatrics, for dengue fever its symptoms and clinical signs, laboratory healthy means to confirm the diagnosis, control inputs and outputs of patients in hospitals, transmission of disease, virus and vector characteristics, preventive actions.
The head of the veterinary team Prof. Eltayb Abulzein, gave a fully detailed information about the livestock role in transferring the viral hemorrhagic diseases to humans. The debate topics were extensively discussed by representatives of various government agencies from ministry of health, work, environment and society services in general.
The chairs team headed by Dr. Hussein Albar, introduced an educational seminar about the dengue fever to the public, as well as the team participated in radio and television interviews for more awareness of the disease.
The chair team were conducted a training courses on the modern techniques of diagnosis and treatment of dengue fever and other viral hemorrhagic fever diseases for the health staff of doctors, nursing, laboratories specialist in Hadramout of Republic of Yemen. |
